June 2020 - Coronavirus & Chaos Continue

This month has been crazy!  It seems as though the whole nation has gone wacko!  After the killing of George Floyd, riots have continued to pop up everywhere.  Many people have demanded the defunding of the police.  Signs and chants of "Black Lives Matter" are present in all of the media.  Political allegations are being thrown out everywhere.   Governments started opening up places that had previously been closed due to COVID-19.  Many people were excited to be able to socialize again.  Reports of huge gatherings for Labor Day and other gatherings, most without masks, made me a little worried.  Needless to say, the number of infected people has risen exponentially!   In April and May Utah was averaging less than 200 new cases diagnosed each day, by mid-June there were over 500 new cases diagnosed daily.  It seems that the population is split on how to deal with it, many people want the state to shut down all non-essential...

Sister's Retreat We started the month off in grand fashion, with a Sister's Retreat!  This time we went to Wolf Creek.  I am so glad that we started the tradition of our sister's retreats, it has been so good for us to stay connected and appreciate each other.  Our personalities are so much the same, but yet we have many, many differences, I feel that it is vitally important to foster our family relationships.  Julie was not able to join us this time as she had an assignment in Hawaii.  She was able to take her family, so we forgave her for missing our weekend. Wicked Wicked, what more can I say.  One of the very best productions I have ever seen.  This was my third time seeing it, and I was not disappointed.  The incredible talent of the performers never ceases to amaze me.  I could listen to them sing all day long!  Tammy and I went down together and met up with Cyn, her sister April, and mother, Shearer at Cheesecake Factory for a great brunch.  Fun, fun, fun day! After dealing with all of the craziness lately, we sisters were more than ready for a Sister's Retreat.  There were no condos available at Wolf Creek, so we drove up to Bear Lake.  Roxane and I drove up together.  The weather was cold but absolutely beautiful as we drove through the canyon.  It had been storming most of the week before but the sun was shining as we drove.  I really dislike winter, but this drive almost made me like winter. We decided that we would take ourselves out for dinner.  Since it was win...
