Jami I was very worried about what things to work on in my Family History class this week, but I guess I shouldn't have worried so much, because I got called into work at the hospital and didn't end up teaching.  This was one of those days when I love being a nurse.  A calm day - something that is quite rare - and a day where I could just focus on the needs of my patients and share the joy of having a new baby with them.  I also enjoyed working with Jami who also has another job as a nursing instructor.  It was fun and also extremely beneficial to compare notes and teaching techniques.  I feel like I am still so new at teaching that I can use all of the help I can get. It was a good working day, but I do miss church.  I miss the association with all my friends in the ward, I miss taking the Sacrament, and I miss being spiritually fed.  It seems that if I don't get that once a week I miss it, and my week feels a little "off". I started...

Believe it or not, I wanted to be a doctor.  Either that or an airline stewardess.  I guess that shows that I have always had a love of medicine as well as an urge to travel. Lunch ~ Name a few favorite memories of your elementary school days.  (This is one of the very few positive winter stories I have) I used to love it when it would snow really hard and the plows would make mountains of snow on the playground blacktop.  I loved to climb to the top and play “King of ...

Tuesday when I walked outside I heard a rustling in the trees next to our house.  When I looked up I was surprised to see not one, but four  turkeys roosting in the trees! It was amazing!  These turkeys have been hanging around our neighborhood for quite some time, but I didn't realize that they roosted in the trees!  I didn't even know that they fly.  They are huge. I went to a dermatologist to have him look at a few spots on my face that I worried about.  The one I was most worried about turned out to not be anything to worry about, but the doc said that I had two pre-cancerous spots.  I decided to have them frozen, one on my eyebrow and one smack-dab in the middle of my cheek.  As he was spraying the one on my eyebrow I felt as though I was being stuck by a bee, about 10-15 times!  However I was brave and tolerated it well.  The one on my cheek was a different story!  I'm not sure why, but IT HURT!!!!  I almo...

2016 has slipped in and taken a firm hold seemingly effortlessly.  We all have returned back to school and work and the daily grind leaving the casual, fun days of the holidays only good memories.  I thought it would be interesting to list our schedules. Kim has returned to his crazy schedule of working graveyard Sunday - Wednesday 5 pm to 5 am and then Friday 5 am to 5pm.   Shandra is working her CNA job Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6 am to 2 pm, going to school Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 pm to 9 pm and working at the salon on Fridays and Saturdays.  Jason's shifts switch every five weeks, he has been working the weekends, but just switched to 12 hour shifts on the weekdays.   Needless to say we help out a lot with Kalel and RaeLynn.   I work 5 days a week at Eagle Gate and will soon be doing two days a week at clinicals instead of at the campus.  I usually work 1-2 weekend shifts...
