I think I would have loved to witness the teachings of Christ first hand, to have actually seen Him and felt the prints in His hands after His resurrection. Lunch ~   If you could be any age for a week, what age would that be?   35 seems like an age I would want to repeat for a week.  I was still young enough to have tons of energy but old enough to have some experiences behind my belt. Dinner ~   What habit are you trying to break?  What habit are you trying to...

This week started off nice and calm, in fact I was beginning to wonder if I would even have anything noteworthy to write about.  I shouldn't have wondered, for the week ended with a BANG - literally! Kalel participated in his first Pinewood Derby this week.  Grandpa Bob (aka Kim) helped him design and cut out the car.  Kalel did all of the painting himself It was a very sharp looking car!  Tuesday night Kim stayed home from work to get the car weighed and to watch the Derby.  Kalel's car wasn't the fastest, but it competed well. It was a fun night for all.  It was especially fun because Kalel and Tristan had a chance to race their cars against each other.  Tristan's car was a little faster. I rushed from the Derby to go to choir practice with the Symphonic Choir.  Happy news!  Jalyn decided to join the choir with me!  It will be so fun to have her there with me.  I always feel out of my c...

Week In Review

Jami I was very worried about what things to work on in my Family History class this week, but I guess I shouldn't have worried so much, because I got called into work at the hospital and didn't end up teaching.  This was one of those days when I love being a nurse.  A calm day - something that is quite rare - and a day where I could just focus on the needs of my patients and share the joy of having a new baby with them.  I also enjoyed working with Jami who also has another job as a nursing instructor.  It was fun and also extremely beneficial to compare notes and teaching techniques.  I feel like I am still so new at teaching that I can use all of the help I can get. It was a good working day, but I do miss church.  I miss the association with all my friends in the ward, I miss taking the Sacrament, and I miss being spiritually fed.  It seems that if I don't get that once a week I miss it, and my week feels a little "off". I started...

JOIN IN!!!   Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥       BACK IN TIME Breakfast ~ What occupation did you want when you were a child? Believe it or not, I wanted to be a doctor.  Either that or an airline stewardess.  I guess that shows that I have always had a love of medicine as well as an urge to travel. Lunch ~ Name a few favorite memories of your elementary school days.  (This is one of the very few positive winter stories I have) I used to love it when it would snow really hard and the plows would make mountains of snow on the playground blacktop.  I loved to climb to the top and play “King of ...
