First Day of School 2010

It is finally here! The first day of nursing school!
I always have taken pictures of the kids for the first day of school each year, however this year I am the only one going to school - so I had to take a picture of myself!
It is SO EXCITING to be in the nursing program!

Week in Review 11/6/16

We didn't know what else to do on Monday so we decided to draw names for Christmas and do a little Christmas shopping.  It was a good idea, but, although we had a good time, we really didn't find any great Christmas presents.  (Actually it was a good thing that we didn't because there was a mistake on the list and we had to re-draw names!)  We did have a great lunch at Noodles. We made our way to the Halloween store and had a great time with all of the fun props, decor and costumes.  Some of the things that are available now are just CRAZY.  There was a whole display of zombie babies that was just plain CREEPY. Ash and I bought some make-up so we could have fun with the Trick-or-Treaters. We each did our own make-up, and I found that I am NOT very good at it!  Also, there is something seriously wrong with my eyes - no matter how hard I tried my fake eyelashes just wouldn't go on right.  Instead of having a nice even curve they looked li...

Friends, Food, and Lots of Laughs

Last Friday we were invited to Troy and Carol's house for pizza and games along with Dave & Jodi and Mike & Carrie. It has been way too long since we have gotten together with them! Carol made homemade pizza - with wheat crust! It was wonderful! It was interesting to talk with Carrie. She is a Canadian citizen, and she shared information about the healthcare systems up there. Jodi made this absolutely incredible Earthquake Cake that was truly amazing! (It would have been perfect if she had forgotten the coconut.) After dinner we adjourned to the family room for some fun games - and tons of laughter! We played Eye to Eye and Linkety. Troy and Dave are both so competitive that is fun to watch them try to outdo each other! Mike and Troy have been friends for so long that they have code words that only they know.
