Boys are So Much Fun!

Today is my last day off for a long while (school starts again next week) so I invited my sisters and their cute little guys over for a swimming party!

They had such a grand time splashing in the water, playing ring-a-round the rosies, and running, running, and running around! I can't believe how enjoyable it is to just watch toddlers play together!
What a great way to spend my last day off!

A Quick Las Vegas Trip

Whew! What a whirlwind trip! Marilyn, Jalyn and I left Wednesday afternoon and drove to Mesquite, stayed the night there and then left for Vegas Thursday morning. We spent the day shopping at the outlets, checking into the MGM Grand Hotel, swimming and floating in the "lazy river" at one of the five pools at the hotel, and then after a late lunch we showered and got all beautified for our night with Donny and Marie. The next day we got up, got in the car and drove back to Brigham City. It was a fantastic trip, but a little too much driving in too few days for my taste! Donny and Marie were wonderful, of course! The show was typical for Las Vegas, lots of bling, lights, dancing, and sequins. Both Donny and Marie even began the show dressed in silver and gold - Marie in 3" high heels and Donny in silver shoes that he claimed were mirrors! Both have incredible talents. Fun Day With Bubba

Today Bubba and I had a great day! First we joined Ash and Tristan for a visit to the park. Bubba and Tristan ran and rolled and climbed and had all kinds of fun! Later, Kim and I had to run to Logan, so we decided that a quick trip to Willow Park was in order. Bubba was so excited to see all of the animals there. We saw turtles, geese, swans, cranes, peacocks, and deer. We watched an owl eating his dinner. We saw a couple of young antelope fighting - I think they were really just playing! We even saw a couple of wallabies! Of course, Bubba's favorite part was feeding the ducks! He got a little nervous if one got too close, but as long as they kept their distance, he had a blast throwing food to them. I'm sure that he just about wore himself out with all of the walking and running and playing. I know that I did!

Week in Review 8-7-16

The 2016 Olympics started this week.   I love the Olympics.   It may because it is because I feel a sense of patriotism in joining with the rest of the nation in cheering on the USA team.   I’m in such awe of athletes who work so hard to earn the honor of receiving an Olympic medal.   I’m also so impressed with the athletes that give everything they have just for the honor of competing when they know that they have little to no chance of winning.   I love hearing the stories of the athletes, where they come from as well as the struggles they have faced.   The funny thing is that any other time I am not at all interested in the sports or of the athletes.   It must have something to do with the whole Olympic hype.   Whatever the reason, I find myself glued to the television and computer during the Olympics.   My favorite events in the summer Olympics are volleyball, both indoor as well as beach, gymnastics, and diving.   I al...
