Fun Day With Bubba

Today Bubba and I had a great day! First we joined Ash and Tristan for a visit to the park. Bubba and Tristan ran and rolled and climbed and had all kinds of fun! Later, Kim and I had to run to Logan, so we decided that a quick trip to Willow Park was in order. Bubba was so excited to see all of the animals there. We saw turtles, geese, swans, cranes, peacocks, and deer. We watched an owl eating his dinner. We saw a couple of young antelope fighting - I think they were really just playing! We even saw a couple of wallabies! Of course, Bubba's favorite part was feeding the ducks! He got a little nervous if one got too close, but as long as they kept their distance, he had a blast throwing food to them. I'm sure that he just about wore himself out with all of the walking and running and playing. I know that I did!

Girls Camp 2008

Girls Camp: Spending 3 ½ days with 24 young women and 12 great “mature?” women, dirt, campfires, no sleep, tons of food, laughter, singing, improving old friendships, making new friends, a cross-dressing husband, secret sisters, strengthening testimonies, building great memories. This year our ward went to Camp Shawnee up in Liberty. This was our 3rd year in a row to have the opportunity to stay in cabins ! Whew Hoo! No tents for us! Shawnee had a lodge for all of our meetings and meals. We almost had all of the comforts of home – less warm water in the showers. Jenny Hepworth told us that we used the “Hokey Pokey” method of showering, “you put your right foot in, you put your right foot out, then you shake it all about” all the while trying to breathe and squealing “ooooo, oooo, oooo!” We had a cute mascot, Hercomer, a giant spider who would appear labeled with the names of two girls. Week in Review 7/31/16

I had a very interesting and quite spiritual experience this week.  A good friend of mine has had a very difficult decision to make.  She had two choices, both were good choices and either would lead her to a good, happy life, although each path would be quite different from each other thus the destinations would end up totally different.  She had been worrying and stressing over these decisions for weeks.  She has been so stressed that she has not been able to sleep, her stomach has been in constant knots. My friend is a very spiritual person.  She is not of my faith and she does not feel the need for organized religion, but she prays frequently and feels that she has a good relationship with God and Jesus Christ.  She and her husband have been praying fervently for help in making the decision that would be best for her and her family.  When she and I were talking I asked her what she was specifically praying for, I wondered if she was just asking G...
