Christmas + Christmas vacation

Christmas Eve brought our tradition of Christmas PJ;s.  Kim's ended up being extremely large for him, but he was a good sport and modeled them anyway!  Everyone else's were pretty plain and boring and fit well.
Tasha and Zane picked out PJ's for Hector that were so funny and perfect for him, Olaf pants that said, "I like warm hugs!"  Hector seemed a little emotional when he told us that he had never received pajamas before.  Zane made sure that he understood the responsibility of wearing them Christmas morning!

Jason had to work so he didn't arrive until just in time to open PJ's.
I'm not sure why he looks so serious in this pic, he was smiling!

 After Santa came -
Look at all the gifts!

Christmas morning was a little different this year.  I worked the night before from 11 pm to 5 am Christmas morning.  Shandra worked from 6 am to 10 am and Jason had to work the entire day.  RaeLynn was with her mother and Kalel was with his father.  We didn't even open gifts until 11:00!  It was weird, but still very enjoyable.   Kalel did make it back for the opening, but then we had to rush him back to his dad's house.
An IQ puzzle for Zane!

Kalel and Shandra had a Secret Santa this year that spoiled them rotten with some great (and useful) gifts.  We all felt humbled at the generosity that was shown.

Christmas will always be my favorite time of the year.  I love everything about it, the kindness, the generosity, getting that special gift for someone, the music, and especially the lights.  It is truly special.  The only downside is when it is over.

I was so happy to get lots of time off during the holiday week, Kim did too, so we had company over almost every day visiting and playing games.  And playing games.  And did I mention that we played a lot of games?  It was so much fun!

Obviously I was much too busy playing to take many pictures of games, but here are some  miscellaneous pictures of the holiday week.

I made these hand warmers for my friends this Christmas

The following are pictures of my dad's creation Tasha affectionately named "Franken-vac"
The wheels no longer worked so he built and attached a wooden frame.

When the on/off switch broke he wired in a light switch to turn it on.  It is hard to tell, but there are probably five different hoses connected together.
It may not be pretty, but it works pretty well!  My dad is nothing if not inventive!
