Games, Games, Games


Saturday we had a GAME DAY- all day long! It was so great! Our friends, Steve and Cynthia Steele along with Tanissa, Tori, Sheryce, and babies drove up from Syracuse and Mont and Marilyn Parrish and family all joined us for the fun.

We just got a new game called "Walk the Dog". I'm sure we looked pretty silly - six adults sitting around playing with toy dogs - but it really is fun!

I just had a party with SimplyFun games, and ended up with tons of new games. We had a fantastic time trying out all of the new games. In fact, Cynthia (the absolute QUEEN of game playing) enjoyed SimplyFun so much she just had to sign up as a demonstrator! She will be perfect for this new job. GO CYN!

I just LOVE playing games! I like board games, card games, dice games, drawing games, word games - you name it and I love it!

Oh that looks like a fun one!!!
I wanted to come to your game party SO bad! I looked on the website and picked out about four I really wanted! Maybe it's a good thing I didn't after all! lol

That looks like so much fun! The only problem is those dogs would never end up back in the box. Logan would hijack them for one of his own games I'm sure! By the way, I love playing games with you, hint, hint!

Memories:  These vintage pictures surfaced this month.  I just love looking at old pictures remembering how things were - especially when the pictures are of loved ones who are no longer with us.  I love seeing Grandpa and Grandma surrounded by family.  They loved being with family!  This made me smile. Fun Day With Bubba

Today Bubba and I had a great day! First we joined Ash and Tristan for a visit to the park. Bubba and Tristan ran and rolled and climbed and had all kinds of fun! Later, Kim and I had to run to Logan, so we decided that a quick trip to Willow Park was in order. Bubba was so excited to see all of the animals there. We saw turtles, geese, swans, cranes, peacocks, and deer. We watched an owl eating his dinner. We saw a couple of young antelope fighting - I think they were really just playing! We even saw a couple of wallabies! Of course, Bubba's favorite part was feeding the ducks! He got a little nervous if one got too close, but as long as they kept their distance, he had a blast throwing food to them. I'm sure that he just about wore himself out with all of the walking and running and playing. I know that I did!

Mom is Coming Home

We just got word today that mom can come home from Rehab tomorrow morning – a week earlier than we had expected. Needless to say, mom is thrilled at the prospects of being home again, and dad is quite excited also. I have to admit, I have mixed feelings. Honestly, it has been very nice having mom in a place where I knew that they were taking very good care of her. The food there is fantastic, the workers are extremely pleasant and friendly, and her care was wonderful. She has gained an incredible amount of muscle strength through her two-a-day physical therapy sessions, and they are fanatical about making sure that her food and fluids are exactly what she needs. Consequently mom is actually in better overall health now than she has been in the last two years. It has been nice for me to have them watching over her continuously to make sure that she does what she is supposed to and also to make sure that she doesn’t cheat on her diet or fluid restrictions.
