Lagoon - A Gift from a Good Friend

Kim's family has always exemplified the quality of loving others.  Many, many individuals and families have been "adopted" to become part of the family.  One such adoptee is Greg.  Several years ago, the California Olsens (i.e. Doug's family) befriended Greg who soon became part of the family.  That friendship soon spread to the rest of the family, and before long all of the Utah Olsens claimed Greg as one of the family.  In addition to the benefit of his friendship, this association has numerous pay-offs.  One of the perks of Greg's friendship is the receipt of pints and pints of ice cream!  Greg LOVES ice cream, and he loves to share it even more!  When he visits from California, he goes to Peach City at least once a day and buys several pints of ice cream.  With so many flavors to choose from, Greg has come up with a sure-fire way to ensure that he tastes all of them.  He obtained a complete list of ice cream flavors and alphabetized the list.  Then, each day as he gets his ice cream he goes down his alphabetized list, crossing off each one that he buys.
Gregg also LOVES rollercoasters.  He decided that he wanted to try out the rollercoasters at LaGoon - and he wanted the entire family to share with him.  So he bought tickets for the entire Olsen clan to join him at LaGoon - including meal tickets and face painting!  (Of course, not every member of the family could attend, but he ended up buying 35 tickets!)  When asked how he could afford to be so very generous, he informed us that recently his cousin passed away.  That event made him realize that if he died, he wouldn't be able to see the faces of the people he was sharing with, and he wanted to share while he was able to enjoy giving.  What a generous man!  He is incredible!

Riding rollercoasters with Greg was a real treat!  He was just like a little kid, screaming and laughing and shouting throughout the entire ride!  It was so fun to see his enjoyment as he shared this day with the family.

Lagoon was a blast!  I think that everyone had a FABULOUS time!  The rides were all fun, but in my opinion, the best part of the day was sharing it with the family.  It seemed that every time we turned a corner we would run into another family member.  It was wonderful!  Shandra was able to get off work early and Tasha and Zane made the drive up from Cedar City to join in the fun.

We started out the day on Rattlesnake Rapids and unfortunately for me, I got absolutely SOAKED!  Everyone else got a little wet, but not me!  I was covered in water.  Thank goodness it was a very warm day and I soon dried out!

Zane's family has season tickets to Lagoon so they joined us for the first part of the day.  Bubba and Nanna get along fabulously and they had a great time together.  When they wanted to get their faces painted, Greg quickly jumped in to pay for it! Don't they look fantastic?

At the end of the day, Tasha talked us all into playing some of the games - and SURPRISE! everyone of us won a prize!  Kim was the grand champion with his prize for dart throwing.  He won a large Hello Kitty stuffed animal!

It was an absolutely fantastic day. I cannot express enough gratitude to Greg for making such a wonderful day possible for all of the family.  It is a day that I will never forget!  Thanks Greg!
