Mass Casualty
The mass casualty simulation for this semester turned out GREAT!  My class planned it very well and they had several outside sources that made it even better.  This semester's scenario was an avalanche that was triggered by a very depressed guy.  We set up as if we were in a ski lodge and the patients were brought into the building and placed in a room depending on the severity of their wounds.  Of course there were several mistakes learning opportunities, but I think that overall it was very successful.

Graduation
I am really proud of these great students.  I see bright futures for each of them.  I was able to go to dinner with them and their significant others and we had a great time.  I love the friendships and bonds that are formed during nursing school.  One of the students gave me this adorable plaque that says, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all".  I LOVE it!  I was the keynote speaker, but it was easy to speak to these guys.

Easter
We didn't do much for Easter this year, Kalel was at his dad's so we just took Kiaya to church and then Kim went to bed so he could go to work that afternoon. Also, I left that afternoon to fly to Minneapolis.
Kiaya is such a cutie!  She has the most fun personality.  Whenever someone she loves walks into the room she grins so hard it looks like she may break her face!

Minneapolis
I took my first trip as a "Live Review Educator/NCLEX Specialist".  I flew to Minneapolis for a very quick trip!  I arrived Sunday evening and I flew home Monday evening.  This was just my training as well as to show my manager that I knew the material and could teach/review it well.  I was quite stressed and worried that I would forget the information that I had been studying, but once I got up and started talking with the students, I felt just like I was back in my normal classroom.  I can't believe how much I LOVE teaching!  I'm definitely hooked and excited to do more!

Alyssa's reception and Texas Roadhouse
Kim's niece, Alyssa, got married and had the reception in a wonderful barn in Cache Valley.  It was beautiful and Alyssa was gorgeous!
Alyssa and Eric
Since we were in Cache Valley Kim, Shandra, and I decided to catch dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  Unfortunately, it was prom night and it was extremely busy.  We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to even go in.  The food was good but not as great as I had hoped, but we had a terrific time.

Kiaya and Kalel both LOVE to be outside.  We finally had some good weather and went out to enjoy it.

General Conference
General Conference was wonderful as usual.  Because of the major announcements we have had during the last two conferences, I think that everyone was on the edge of their seats waiting for the next big bomb to fall - but it didn't.  President Nelson just reminded us of the importance of making and keeping covenants so that we can be with our families after we leave this mortal life.  He reminded us that Christ's invitation to "Come, follow me", is extended to everyone and those who choose not to accept the invitation will receive eternal life, but will not be able to be with their families..  He states, "They need to understand that while there is a place for them hereafter—with wonderful men and women who also chose not to make covenants with God—that is not the place where families will be reunited and be given the privilege to live and progress forever. That is not the kingdom where they will experience the fulness of joy—of never-ending progression and happiness.  Those consummate blessings can come only by living in an exalted celestial realm with God, our Eternal Father; His Son, Jesus Christ; and our wonderful, worthy, and qualified family members."
All of the talks were wonderful and I have been listening to them again a few times a week as well as reviewing the ones that I teach in Relief Society with Lindsey.

Here are pictures of some cookies Tasha made for a baby shower.  She is doing so well with her business!
