Monday we had a great play day!  Tammy, Ash, Robin and I drove down to Ogden to do some shopping and girl bonding!  We had a ton of fun and found lots of great buys at Gordmans.  We stopped at Arby's for lunch, but I was disappointed to find that they no longer have their chicken salad sandwiches so I just got a regular Arby's sandwich.  My taste buds were very disappointed.  Later that evening Tammy, her daughter Kinsey, Ash and I headed to "The Old Barn" to see a play.  We stopped at JC's Country Diner and had dinner.  It was fabulous!  All but Kinsey got omelettes that were so tasty that we ate until our tummies felt like they would burst! I had never been to the Old Barn theater before but had heard good things about it.  The show we saw was "You Can't Take it With You".  It must have been an off night because there was only about 20 people in the audience.  The play was okay, but I'm not used to staying up very late and...

Kim and I used to go absolutely NUTS at Christmas and started collecting just about anything that had to do with Christmas.  We collected Christmas stockings, Christmas nutcrackers, Christmas snow globes, and even Christmas mugs.  We still have most of them but unfortunately they mostly stay boxed up in storage.  Lunch ~ Do you dejunk on a regular basis or have a system for getting rid of clutter? I dejunk on a regular basis, every 25 years whether we need it or not!  Honestly I am absolutely HORRIBLE at dejunking and my wonderful husband is even worse, so it rar...

I think that I really like having Mondays off.  This week Tammy and I hung out all day together.  I really miss the times when every Thursday was “scrapbook with Tammy time” (although she just watched and visited most of the time).   I had Thursdays off most of the time I was working for Dr. Dibble.  Thursdays were great – there was “Opera Thursday” where I broke out in song without embarrassment or harassment whenever I felt the need to do so.  Thursday were the days when I would schedule lunch dates with friends and family.  For the next several weeks I have Mondays off because I am doing clinicals on Saturdays.  It is fun having a day off in the middle of the week – but I’m not sure that I like giving up my Saturday to get it.  Tammy and I spent some time visiting my dad, I think he loved her company, we then went out to Robin’s house and visited for a while.  Of course, we then had to eat, so we had lunch at Old Grist Mill. ...

Lunch ~  What are your plans this weekend? 12 hours of clinicals with students at the University of Utah Hospital Saturday and recovery on Sunday . Dinner ~  What stressed you out this week? I was late (to be early) for my class on Thursday only to find that there was already a class being held in our room.  I had to ...

I didn't have to work on Monday!  For the next 8 weeks I will be working on Saturdays so I will have Mondays off.  This Monday I felt really ambitious.  I have needed to do some serious cleaning in my bedroom and was planning to get started on it first thing Monday morning.  Then, just as I was climbing out of bed - Kim climbed into bed.  I totally forgot that he would be sleeping!  DANG!  That plan wouldn't work at all. New plan, it was a beautiful day and so I went outside and did a little yard work.  My daises were tall and dead and pretty much out of control.  I lopped them all off and did a little maintenance.  It looks so much better. Then came the fun!  Tammy, Robin, Ashley and I went to Costa Vida for lunch.  I just love Costa Vida, especially the pork burritos, I just wish that they weren't 48 million calories! That night my favorite show, Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) was only half as long as usual due to ...

She will post a new one each Thursday night.   JOIN IN!!!   Food 4 Thought Friday ~ This week's questions: ***************************** Breakfast ~  What was your "ah-hah" moment this week?  I’m not sure it was an ah-hah moment, but while visiting teaching this week I read a quote by President Monson, “Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved”.  This really struck me as a vital key to life.  It is so very important that we recognize the importance of love.  It is so much more important to preserve a relationship than it is to be “right”. Lunch ~  What did you do this week that you haven't done before? I attended an INPD (Intermountain Nursing Professional Development) conference. It was a great conference giving ideas on ho...
