Southern California 2013, Part 2

DISNEYLAND - THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!

Tuesday morning we got up early for our first day in Disneyland. I had made shirts where each of us wore a different dwarf.  There were some complaints and whining about wearing them – but we got great compliments on the shirts all day long!

It was Tasha’s birthday, and we celebrated big.
Yes - we made her wear a birthday hat!

We had a fun breakfast at the Plaza where we got to meet Chip and Dale, Tigger, the Fairy Godmother, Eyore, Minnie Mouse, Capt’n Hook, and Max.  It was so much fun to have each of the characters come over and interact with each of us!  Kalel had a jumping contest with Tigger and Eyore and when Eyore started wiping his eyes like he was crying because he lost the jumping match, Tigger went over and hugged him.

Kalel sang and danced with Max.

Tasha was almost giddy about meeting the Fairy Godmother!

Kalel tried to trick Capt'n Hook by shouting, "Look, there is a crocodile", Hook started looking around and then shook his hook at Kalel, then we noticed that Eyore was in the corner just shaking because he was afraid of the crocodiles!  Hook went over and non-verbally chastised him for being so gullible.
Kalel put grapes in his cheeks so he would look like Dale!

After breakfast we were off to ride the rides!

We rode Peter Pan’s flight and then the Matterhorn.  I was so surprised at six-year old Kalel – he LOVED the coasters and wasn't afraid at all!  Splash mountain was AWESOME as usual, however Kim, Kalel, and I all got soaked!

We spent a good share of the day in Critter Country, Adventure Land, and Fantasy Land and then when we got tired we decided to head back to the condo for a nap.

On our way out of the Park we met Goofy as well as Donald Duck who insisted that Kalel do the "tail wag dance" with him!  It was hilarious!

Then we went shopping for hats

Kim found his Grumpy hat.  It says, "My attitude is YOUR problem!"
Shandra fell in love with this and bought one similar to it.

That night we decided to just hang out at the condo in the swimming pool and hot tub.

It was so nice having a condo within walking distance to Disneyland, just over a mile, because we could go back and nap and get refreshed for the next round of fun.  Most of the time we took but bus back and forth, but a couple of times we just walked.
