Southern California 2013 Part 3

The next morning we were slow to get to the Park because Kim and I attended a WorldMark owner education meeting.  When we finally got to the Park we decided to head over to California Adventure and the new Car’s Land and try to ride Radiator Springs Racecar, but we were too late to get FastPass tickets, so we decided just to tough it out and wait in line for the 80 minutes to ride the ride.  The line was very long, but we were constantly moving and winding through interesting places so it wasn't too awfully bad.

The ride itself was AWESOME!

First we rode through some great scenery in our “cars” and then we met up with another car and had a “race” to the end.  I’m sure we weren't going very fast, but it sure felt like it.  It was a lot of fun!

Other things we did that day were Little Mermaid,

California Screamin’ (I took Kalel to get his face painted instead of riding California Screamin'),

Mickey’s Fun Wheel (which Kalel loved and Tasha hated!)

and of course Shandra and Zane rode Tower of Terror – Twice!  With the FastPass they were able to get right back on.

While they were doing that, the rest of us rode on t
he Toy Story ride, a very fun ride in which you ride in cars in 3D glasses until you face a virtual shooting gallery.  Each person in the car shoots trying to hit targets competing against each other.  It was one of my favorite rides.

After a nap, we returned to California Adventure and rode Toy Story again as well as the Monster's Inc. Ride.

One of our favorite activities that night was talking with Crush, the turtle from Finding Nemo.  Even though Crush was in water behind glass, he used a “hydrophone” to talk and interact with the audience, asking and answering questions.  It was a hoot!

What a FANTASTIC day!!!!!!!
